Moving Forward

December 31st is typically one of the most anticipated days of the year.  It marks the end of a season and brings hope of a fresh start.  It's a time of reflection on days passed; some bitter, some sweet.  For most, it provides a new perspective for the year to come.  During your time of reflection today, try not to dwell on the situations that didn't work out for you.  Instead, focus your attention on how far God has brought you and where he's taking you in 2014.  Remember, you are the apple of God's eye; a special treasure in his heart.  He always has the best in mind for you (Jeremiah 29:11).  Move forward today in the power of the word of God and stand firm on his promises.

Isaiah 43:18-19 "Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.  Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?  I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."

Join us this evening at 8pm for a time of reflection, rejoicing, and fun.  We're going to praise God into 2014 with our special guest Uncle Reece who will be performing his hit single, "Until I Pass Out."  We hope to see you there!  God bless you!

Welcome to Our Blog!

We are the Church of Atlanta Lighthouse.

A lighthouse helps navigate mariners through storms, dense fog, dark nights and other dangers. Lighthouses reveal safe entries to harbors and assist in aerial navigation.  Similarly, at Church of Atlanta Lighthouse, we help navigate people through the storms, dense fog and dark nights of life.  With the word of God, prayer and a supporting church family we help you discover the special purpose that God has for your life.  We teach and encourage everyone to continually develop their personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Open your heart to God and experience the fullness of his love, grace and mercy.

Be on the look out for weekly updates, Bible based devotionals and sermon notes.  Visit us at www.churchofatlantalighthouse.org.  Have a blessed day!
